“Dawn At The Alamo,” is a SALHA Commemorative Event March 6, 2020, 6:00 to 7:00 AM in Alamo Plaza. The San Antonio Living History Association, in partnership with the Alamo Trust (GLO), presents its annual “Dawn At The Alamo” commemoration ceremony marking the 184th anniversary of the Battle of the Alamo. SALHA invites all Alamo descendant families, Alamo heritage organizations and the visiting public, to attend and “Remember the Alamo!” at 6:00AM each March 6th. The Alamo ancestor names of the descendant families in attendance are read as floral wreaths are placed to honor all who made their supreme sacrifice on that most hallowed ground in Texas. Commemorative candles are then lit and followed by a solemn prayer and bagpiper.
