“A Long Walk in the Sun: Mexican-American War Days” is a Mexican-American War encampment; Fort Towson Historic Site, Mexican-American War event (Oklahoma).

The event features US dragoons, infantry and artillery, as well as Mexican cavalry and infantry, and will be open to the public on Friday, Sept. 28, from 10 a.m.–3 p.m. with various demonstrations throughout the day. There will be a skirmish at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 29, and a tactical skirmish at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 30. These reenactments are open to the public.
