“This Hallowed Ground: Alamo Plaza” is a historical walking tour from Noon to 1:00 PM. This annual Fiesta event, hosted by the Alamo Chapter of the Sons of the Republic of Texas, features San Antonio Living History Association reenactors, dressed in 1830s clothing, who are assigned historical walking tour stops to help interpret the battle actions that occurred all around the original Alamo compound walls in Alamo Plaza.  The walking tour narrator then presents “interviews from the past” where the audiences meet some of the historical men and women who were involved on “both sides of the 1836 Alamo walls.”  They learn who they are, how they came to be in San Antonio de Béjar and the Alamo, and what experiences they had to endure during the 13-day siege and battle.

NOTE: SALHA and other reenactors planning to participate in this event should register at www.salha.org.  Close to the event date, return to the website and or email salivinghistoryevents@gmail.com for the latest reenactor event  information.
